South of the river Thames, last stop of the Victoria Line here it is Brixton. The most intercultural, buzzing, colorful area of London has a lot to offer, if you go behind the rough surface. It could be, for instance, a remarkable place to find creative inspiration. So whether you are having a cheap shopping spree at Poundland, or simply walking by the famous Brixton Market, don't forget that great minds are generating brilliant ideas right next to you.

I have the proves of what I am saying. Someone in the neighborhood, I guess, pops out with an unconventional way to communicate things.

I explain myself. Have you ever take a journey on the notoriuos double decker, upstairs? I usually do, and one day I saw this on the roof of the bus stop

So I became curious, and focusing my attention, I discovered a message that runs through few stops:

S_SPICIO_S FEELING; WRONG, ILLEGAL, OR DISHONEST; WITHOUT HAVING ANY PROOF.

Whatever is the statement that the autor is trying to spread, clearly he/she agrees with William Ewart Gladstone words: "the way to see London is from the top of a bus". 

A sud del Tamigi, ultima fermata della Victoria Line, ecco Brixton. La più interculturale, animata e pittoresca zona di Londra ha molto da offrire se si supera lo scoglio iniziale della sua ruvida superficie. E' ad esempio un ottima fucina di idee creative. Quindi, mentre vi concentrate nello shopping a basso costo da poundland, o semplicemente percorrete il famigerato Brixton Market, non dimenticate che proprio a fianco a voi grandi menti stanno elaborando qualche geniale trovata. 

Ho le prove di quello che sto dicendo.

Qualcuno della zona, immagino, ha escogitato un insolito modo di comunicare.

Mi spiego meglio. Avete mai viaggiato sui famosi double decker, al piano superiore? Io lo faccio spesso e in uno dei miei viaggi ho visto questo: (vedi prima foto)

Così sono diventata curiosa, e facendo più attenzione, ho scoperto una frase che continua 

per diverse fermate.

Qualunque sia il messaggio che l'autore sta cercando di comunicare, certamente condivide il pensiero di William Ewart Gladstone: "il modo (migliore) per vedere Londra è dall'alto di un autobus"

SeRiouSLY happening @ Shoreditch

Let’s start with an event. Saturday, 4th February, Russian Bar. An Italian music concept influenced by English beats landed at Shoreditch, London. In this vibrant area, immediately to the north of the City, two musicians and producers presented the SRSLY project: Guido Savini and Daniele Mana released an interview just next to the bathrooms of the club!

Un debutto in pieno stile underground per questo blog che inaugura il nuovo anno proponendo un focus su un progetto musicale born in Turin e appena sbarcato in UK. Guido Savini e Daniele Mana ci parlano di SRSLY in un’intervista sui generis rilasciata davanti ai bagni del Russian Bar di Shoreditch!

The first three things that come into your mind if I say London? - Le prime tre cose che vi vengono in mente se dico Londra?

Guido: Fries with vinegar, records, fucking cold wind!

Daniele: Records store, Fabric, Chelsea

Your favourite place in London?  Il vostro posto preferito a Londra?

Guido: Elephant&Castle (the bus/tube stop)

Daniele: Hyde Park (I used to go there and run as i lived nearby)

The common mistake that most of Italian people do in London - L'errore più comune che la maggior parte degli italiani commette a Londra?

Guido: It is very easy, when you come to this city, to get stuck with Italian friends. (Daniele: and that's what we did!) If you fall into this trap you can't be fully aware of the real London. Of course you want to be with people you know before, but you need to live with local people. Most of the time English are cynical and unsociable, however if you are lucky enough to meet and hang with a couple of them you'll have the real London experience. I am a weird Italian, as you see, I dress poorly (like an English), I eat junk food (as they do), so I find myself really comfortable around them. Well, when they give you a small sofa to sleep on, in a house without heating and with a bathroom so ugly that this one (pointing to the Russian Bar men's toilet) in compare seems the Sheraton's restroom, is a little bit hard to like them. But you have to be with the locals, everywhere in the world you must do that. There are just too many Italian locals in London (Daniele: they divert you). Yes, they made you live in a parallel world, which is not London.

Guido: E' molto facile e pericoloso cadere nella tentazione di arrivare a Londra e vedere gli amici italiani. (Daniele: E noi abbiamo fatto così, infatti!) Se cadi in quella trappola secondo me quella non è Londra e non ne esci. E' giusto frequentare gli amici che già conosci, è ovvio, se vieni a Londra li vai a trovare, però tendenzialmente l'inglese medio è la persona più antisociale e cinica di questo mondo ma se hai la fortuna di conoscerne un paio ovviamente devi vivere Londra con loro. Poi io sono un italiano strano, come vedi, mi vesto malissimo come un inglese, mangio schifezze come loro quindi frequentandoli mi ci trovo benissimo. Mi rendo anche conto che quando ti danno un divano dove dormire senza riscaldamento e con un bagno che a confronto questo (e indica il bagno degli uomini del Russian bar) sembra quello dello Sheraton...può essere un po' complesso! Però vale per tutti i posti, i posti di tutto il mondo vanno vissuti con i local. Purtroppo ci sono troppi italiani local a Londra che (Daniele: ti sviano), si ti fanno vivere un universo parallelo di Londra che non è la vera città.
